Cursor Installation Instructions
For zip files: Download the zip file to a temporary folder or your desktop. Unzip it and then drag and drop the cursor files into "C:\Windows\Cursors" file or save it to a folder you create specifically anywhere on your hard drive.
Windows XP Users
- Click "Start"
- Navigate to "Settings"
- Click "Control Panel"
- Double-click on "Mouse"
- Click on "Pointers" tab at the top
- Click on "Normal Select"
- Click on "Browse" (lower right)
If you've put your new cursor(s) in the "C:\Windows\Cursors" folder, you'll find it in the "Browse" window. If you've saved the cursors to a folder of your choice, just click on the appropriate option on the left side of the "Browse" window to navigate to the folder of your choice.
For cursor sets, just repeat steps 6 and 7 for the "Help Select", "Working in Background" and "Busy" Cursors.
Windows Vista Users
- Right-click on your desktop
- Click on "Personalize Pointers"
- Click on "Mouse Pointers"
- Click on "Pointers" tab (second one at the top)
- Cllick on "Normal Select"
- Click on "Browse" (lower right)
If you've put your new cursor(s) in the "C:\Windows\Cursors" folder, you'll find it in the "Browse" window. If you've saved the cursors to a folder of your choice, just click on the appropriate option on the left side of the "Browse" window to navigate to the folder of your choice.
